PS Vita rhythm cooking game slated for Winter 2014
XSEED Games announced on Thursday that it has acquired the North American publishing rights for the Senran Kagura Bon Appétit (Deka Mori Senran Kagura) PlayStation Vita game and plans to release it this winter. The company will display the game at E3.
XSEED Games describes the game:
Revealed for the first time, this rhythm spin-off of the ninja ‘busty brawler’ series, Senran Kagura, features cooking battles rather than shinobi showdowns. The emphasis is on outrageous humor, delicious food and plenty of eye candy. Culinary warfare is carried out through an array of rhythm battles—tap the correct buttons in time with the beat to rack up combos and determine the size and quality of the resulting dish. With 10 girls to choose from (22 when including additional DLC), players are challenged to create the ultimate Super Dish and unlock a special feast for the eyes.
The game shipped in Japan in two versions in March and April. XSEED Games released the first Senran Kagura video game in North America last year and plans to release Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus this fall. The franchise inspired a television anime series last year that Funimation streamed as it aired.
