Funimation to Stream Senran Kagura TV Anime

The North American anime distributor FUNimation Entertainment announced on Friday that it will stream the Senran Kagura television anime series. (Note: link can only be accessed by Elite subscribers.) The site will begin streaming the first two episodes on Monday, January 14, and then subsequent episodes will be available on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. EST.
The series adapts the Senran Kagura side-scrolling action game based around female ninjas.
Takashi Watanabe (Shakugan no Shana, Slayers) is directing the series at the anime studio Artland. Takao Yoshioka (Sekirei, Elfen Lied) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takashi Torii is serving as the character designer and chief animation director. The character designs for the franchise were originally created by Nan Yaegashi while Yukinori Kitajima (Okamiden) assisted in creating its original story.
The anime premiered in Japan on January 6.
