Funimation Offers Hyperdimension Neptunia Anime on Home Video

North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Monday that it acquired the home video rights for the Hyperdimension Neptunia television anime series. It plans to release the anime on home video this winter. Funimation describes the story:
Based on the hit video game series about modern game consoles– anthropomorphized as cute girls!In the world of Gamindustri, four competing CPU goddesses rule the lands of Lastation, Leanbox, Lowee, and Planeptune. When dark forces threaten their power, they'll have to learn to work together if they want to defeat evil. Based on the hit RPG series, it's the video game console wars as you've never seen them before: fought by gorgeous girls!
The anime premiered last July, and Funimation streamed the anime as it airs in Japan.
Funimation is holding a contest for a copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection Limited Edition for the PS Vita. NIS America is releasing the game on June 3 in North America.
NIS America released several of the previous Neptunia titles in North America, including Hyperdimension Neptunia, Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2, and Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. Idea Factory will release the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 (Chō Jijigen Game Neptune Re;Birth 1) PS Vita game in North America and Europe this summer.
