J-Cast: Kantai Collection TV Anime Slated for Summer

The J-Cast News website posted a Friday article about NHK News' coverage of trending words on Twitter in Japan and the Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- game; despite U.S. President Barack Obama's visit to Japan this week, the top trending word was Kantai Collection. In the final section of J-Cast News' article, it mentions "Kantai Collection is being made into a television anime in Summer 2014."
According to Kadokawa Games last September, it is aiming for broadcast this summer or later. Kadokawa Games has not announced a more specific timeframe; the anime's official website simply states that it is slated for 2014.
