J-Stars Victory Vs. Game Videos Show Off Gon, Koro-sensei, Bo-bobo, Luckyman

Namco Bandai Games began streaming four more character gameplay videos and the fourth commercial for its J-Stars Victory Vs. "team battle action" video game on Monday. The gameplay videos highlight the characters Gon Freecss from Hunter x Hunter, Koro-sensei from Assassination Classroom, and the title characters from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and Tottemo! Luckyman.

The fourth commercial, "Strongest Tag Team," showcases the "once-in-45-years dream matches": the inheritors of D's will (Luffy and Ace from One Piece), the inheritors of the North Star's Two-Millennium Destiny (Kenshirō and Raoh from Fist of the North Star), and the inheritors of pride (Jonathan and Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).

The 52-character roster from 32 titles in this Shonen Jump 45th anniversary game includes:

Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida, and Hiroshi Kitadani are singing the game's theme song "Fighting Stars." The game include stages from One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Toriko, Naruto Shippūden, Yū Yū Hakusho, Bleach, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, Gintama, Saint Seiya, and Dr. Slump & Arale-chan.

"J Battle Festival, a dream festival that happens once in 45 years," will assemble heroes who exemplify friendship, hard work, and victory. The game supports 2 vs. 2 team battles in dream matches that crosses the borders between titles. Players can unleash combination attacks never possible until now, some with the help of support characters.

The game's several modes include J Adventure Mode, which tells an original story set in the vast "Jump World." Players can assemble characters and embark on voyages throughout "Jump World" with a ship. Players can collect "J Points" for cards in battles and adventures as well as items in the J-Point Shop. They can then use the resulting J-Stars Card deck and points to level up their characters and ships. There is also a Victory Road campaign, Free Battle, Online Mode for 2 vs. 2 battles, and a Gallery Mode with an illustrated guide to all the J-Stars along with their voice samples and fighting patterns.

The PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita game will arrive on March 19. A regular copy of the PS3 version will cost 7,980 yen (about US$80), while a limited edition will cost 10,980 yen (about US$110). The normal edition of the PS Vita version will cost 6,980 yen, while a limited edition copy will retail for 9,980 yen (about US$100). A free augmented-reality (AR) app lets you see the Jump heroes in your surroundings on the PS Vita.

People who pre-order the game will receive the J-Stars Victory Book, a volume bound like a Jump Comics book and filled with information and visuals of Jump heroes over the years. For a limited time, a "Ani-Son Sound Edition" of the game will let players listen to 21 television anime theme songs in the game.
