posted on by Egan Loo
North American anime retailer and licensor Right Stuf announced on Wednesday that it acquired the Ah My Buddha (Amaenaide yo!!) anime series. Right Stuf's Lucky Penny Entertainment label will release the anime in a complete 26-episode DVD collection with both television seasons.
The anime adapts Toshinori Sogabe and Bohemian K's risque comedy manga about Ikkō Satonaka, a 16-year-old monk-in-training at a Buddhist temple. The temple happens to be populated by many priestesses-in-training, and when Ikkō see a girl naked, he turns into a powerful exorcising monk. The anime features director Keitarō Motonaga (School Days, Jormungand) and series script supervisor Makoto Uezu (School Days, Seto no Hanayome, Utawarerumono). Studio DEEN animated the project.
Media Blasters previously released the anime in 2009 and re-issued it in a collection in 2012.
