Monochrome Factor's Sorano to End Mother Keeper Manga
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Manga creator Kaili Sorano announced on Facebook last week that Mother Keeper's 10th volume will be the series' last. The ninth compiled volume shipped on Monday.
Sorano launched the post-apocalyptic Mother Keeper manga in Mag Garden's Comic Blade magazine in 2006. The series takes place in world where people are separated into two classes, those that live inside of EDEN and those who live outside. The inside is a paradise with access to clean natural resources while those living outside suffer in poverty. Ricalna Forde is a soldier of the resistance team COSMOS, whose mission is to infiltrate EDEN's main headquarters and destroy the "Central CPU" - that controls all of EDEN.
Sorano's previous Monochrome Factor manga ended in 2011. Tokyopop published the first four volumes before it shut down its North American publishing division in 2011. The JManga publishing platform also licensed both Monochrome Factor and Mother Keeper in 2012 but it shutdown last year. The manga inspired a 2008 television anime series from director Yuu Kou and the studios GENCO and A.C.G.T.
