posted on by Egan Loo
The Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono (Tesagure! Extracurricular Stuff) CG television anime series is getting a second season, Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono Encore, that will premiere on January 11, 2014 at 28:00 (effectively January 12 at 4:00 a.m.) The first season centered around the extracurricular activities of students in the Tesaguri Club, led by high school girl Yua Suzuki.
The new season will start at the beginning of the school year. Since Yua and Hina Satō graduated, the remaining members Aoi Takahashi and Koharu Tanaka set up a table to recruit new members.
The first season premiered in October and ran in 15-minute timeslots. The series uses the MikuMikuDance software to animate its characters. MikuMikuDance is Yū Higuchi's program that enables users to create dancing videos of Crypton Future Media's Vocaloid virtual idol character Hatsune Miku, as well as other characters. Kotora Suzune draws a manga adaptation on Takeshobo's Manga Life Win website.
The NTV booth at the ongoing Comic Market event is selling a Tesagure! Good Set from Sunday to Tuesday. The limited-edition set (of 100 per day) includes a lap blanket, tote bag, clear file folder, and post card. The cast will personally be there on Monday and Tuesday to give customers their sets. There will also be a event in Tokyo's Hulic Hall on April 20.
