posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Bandai began streaming two promotional videos for its digital card game project Majin Bone last Monday. The video introduces the characters who "bear the fate of Earth": Leobone/Gilbert, Jaguarbone/Antonio, Sharkbone/Luke, Rhinobone/Tyrone, and Dragonbone/Shōgo Ryūjin. They debuted a day earlier at the Jump Festa 2014 event.
The January 2014 issue of Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine announced the project this month. Shueisha is launching a manga version by Naoya Sugita (Zan , SWOT) in the magazine. Bandai is credited with the original plan, and Izumi Todo , the collective pseudonym for Toei Animation's staff, is credited with the original story.
Yūsuke Murata (Eyeshield 21, One-Punch Man) is in charge of the original character designs for the new anime, and Hideki Ishikawa did the original CG character designs seen in the video above. The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates in April.
