Tecmo KOEI will release its Toukiden: The Age of Demons PlayStation Vita game in the United States on February 11, followed by a release in Europe on February 14. Tecmo KOEI had originally planned to release the game in the West in the fourth quarter of 2013.
The studio Omega-Force, which developed the Musou (Warriors) franchise, developed the multiplayer Toukiden hunting action game. The game features six different weapon types and a story mode with 200 characters.
Hidari (Fractale, Natsu-iro Kiseki, Vividred Operation) designed the characters for the game. The game is set several years after a temporal cataclysm unleashed demons into the human world. Players control a demon hunter charged with ridding the world of the new menace. North American GameStop stores will include two extra “Mission Collections” and the “Mitama of Niijima Yae” as preorder bonuses. Amazon will include the "Mitama of Momotaro” preorder bonus.
Tecmo KOEI released the game in Japan on June 27.
