Saori Hayami, Hiro Shimono Join Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta Anime's Cast

Shogakukan has revealed additional cast members for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Koroku Inumura's Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta (A Love Song to a Certain Airship Pilot) light novel series. The additional cast is as follows (from left to right):
Yoshino Nanjō as Nanako Hanasaki
Saori Hayami as Sharon Morcos
Asami Tano as Chiharu de Lucia
Hiro Shimono as Noriaki Kashiwabara
The 2009-2011 five-volume light novel series is set in the same world as Inumura's To Aru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku (Recollection of a Certain Airship Pilot/The Princess and the Pilot) novel and anime film, although it is set earlier with a different cast of characters.
Toshimasa Suzuki (Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Heroic Age) is directing the anime off scripts supervised by Shinichi Inotsume (The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke, Hayate the Combat Butler, Ristorante Paradiso). Hiroki Harada (Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, Romeo × Juliet, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is designing the characters. Aoi Yūki and Ayana Taketatsu's singing unit petit milady will perform the opening theme song.
The story of love and aerial combat follows a former prince who lost everything to a revolution, and a girl who became the symbol for the revolution. The orphaned prince, now renamed Kalel, embarks on a one-way journey to discover the ends of the heavens. Aboard the levitating island of Isura, he meets a girl named Claire.
The anime stars Aoi Yūki as Claire Cruz, Ayana Taketatsu as Ariel Albus, Kaito Ishikawa as Ignacio Axis, and Natsuki Hanae as Kalel Albus/Carl La El
The series will premiere in on Tokyo MX on January 6.
