UCLA to Host Final Fantasy's Uematsu & Earthbound Papas Band Next Week

Babel Entertainment and the Japanese Animation Club at UCLA will host a guest panel and signing of Nobuo Uematsu, primary composer for the Final Fantasy game series, with his band Earthbound Papas at UCLA on Tuesday, October 29. Attendees can purchase the band's new CD at the event.
Earthbound Papas members include Uematsu on keyboard, Michio Okamiya on guitar, Yoshitaka Hirota on bass, Tsutomu Narita on keyboard and guitar, and Chihiro Fujioka on drums. The group released their first album titled Octave Theory in March 2011 in Japan. The Earthbound Papas recently provided the background music for Compile Heart's Fairy Fencer F role-playing game, which shipped in Japan on October 10.
Uematsu and the Earthbound Papas previously performed at MAGFest in National Harbor, Maryland in January 2012. Anime titles Uematsu created music for include Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Guin Saga, and Blue Dragon.
Uematsu recently released his digital picture book Blik-0 1946 with the acttil localization company in August.
