Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Videos Preview Costumes, World

The official Japanese YouTube channel for Square Enix began streaming three new promotional videos for its upcoming PlayStation 3 game, Lightning Returns: Final Fantaxy XIII. The first, which is also streaming on Square Enix's UK channel, is an introduction to various costumes available for Lightning. The second, part of a world introduction series, introduces the "ark" setting, from which Hope helps Lightning navigate to other locations. The third is a "summary movie" that introduces Hope's backstory from Final Fantasy XIII.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will ship in Japan on November 21. The game will arrive in the United States on February 11, 2014, and then in Europe on February 14, 2014. Players who pre-order the game in North America and Europe will be able to unlock Cloud's uniform, bangle, and buster sword as equipment for Lightning.
The game will represent the final chapter in Lightning's story. The game centers around a 13-day countdown until the end of the world, and players must save humanity within 13 days and 13 nights.
