Anime Sols Holds Contest for Free Trip to Japan

The crowdfunding and streaming service Anime Sols announced on Wednesday that it will be giving away a free trip to Japan to one winner who registers on its website by July 3. The prize will also include exclusive studio tours for the lucky winner in Japan.
Anime Sols consists of member companies such as Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, Yomiuri-TV Enterprise Co., Ltd., ADEC Co., Ltd., Tezuka Productions Co., Ltd., Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd., Pierrot Co., Ltd., and Quarkpro LLC. The trip will be arranged through PacSet Tours and the winner will be announced the Anime Sols's panel at Anime Expo on July 6, 2013 at 3 p.m..
Anime Sols is currently raising pledges for eight DVD box-sets and has raised almost US$20,000 since the site opened in Spring 2013. The series the company is raising money for include: Tekkaman, the Space Knight (1975), Yatterman (1977), Bander Book (1978), Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel (1983), Ninja Robot Tobikage (1985), Blue Blink (1989), and New Yatterman (2008). Anime Sols is focusing on the licensing of classic series, which sets the company apart from its competitors who mostly focus on more recent anime.
