North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Friday the English dub cast for its upcoming release of the Dusk maiden of Amnesia television anime series. Sentai Filmworks and Section23 Films will release the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on June 4.
The cast is as follows:
Clint Bickham as Teiichi Niiya
Emily Neves as Yuuko Kanoe
Brittney Karbowski as Momoe Okonogi
Jessica Boone as Kirie Kanoe
Additionally, Christopher Ayres is serving as ADR Director.
The original story by manga creator Maybe is set at a private academy that has a history of hauntings by spirits, including a ghost girl named Yuuko. For some mysterious reason, first-year middle school student Teiichi Niiya is the only person who can see Yuuko. Yuuko has no memory of her death, much less who or what caused it. Yuuko and Teiichi create an investigation club to find the truth about her death and the other mysteries of the school.
The animation studio SILVER LINK (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) animated Dusk maiden of Amnesia. Shin Oonuma (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) directed the series, Katsuhiko Takayama (Mirai Nikki) handled the series composition, and Yukiko Ban (Beelzebub, .hack//SIGN) adapted Maybe's characters for animation. Aki Okui contributed the ending theme song "Karandorie," and Konomi Suzuki performed the opening theme "Choir Jail."
The 13-episode series premiered in Japan last April, and Crunchyroll streamed the series outside of Japan as it aired.
