Thermae Romae II's 1st On-Set Photo Made Public

The first on-set image from the live-action Thermae Romae sequel was released on Sunday. The image shows star Hiroshi Abe as the architect Lucius among a cheering crowd at Rome's famed Colosseum arena.
The film began shooting this month and will open nationwide during Japan's Golden Week string of holidays next spring. Thermae Romae II will revolve around Lucius being ordered to construct a bath within the Colosseum. A 50-meter-tall (about 160-foot-high) Colosseum set has been built in Bulgaria for the film's shoot.
The manga ended in Japan last month, and the English Yen Press release earned a 2013 Eisner Award nomination.
