Macross Plus Movie Blu-ray to Have English Subs in Japan

Bandai Visual updated its official website to list English subtitles for Macross Plus Movie Edition in the Macross Plus Complete Blu-ray Box, which will go on sale in Japan on June 21.
The box set also includes the entire Macross Plus video series with an English dub track along with the Japanese one. The box set will feature the production's North American research trip footage, staff interviews, commercials, promotional videos, previews, the Macross Festival '95 trailer, the "Macross: A Future Chronicle" video, Macross Plus PlayStation game videos (promotional videos, opening movie, in-game footage), a 100-page booklet, and a 32-page animation art collection.
The staff also announced on Wednesday that there will be screenings of four Macross films held at six Japanese theaters, where commemorative clear files will be given out to attendees. The films include Macross Plus Movie Edition, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?, Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime, and Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa. (The films shown will vary, depending on the screening date and location.) One screening in Tokyo will add a talk show by director/mechanical designer Shōji Kawamori and Takumi Yamazaki, the voice actor of Isamu Dyson.
