Tokyo Anime Fair 2013 Draws 105,855

Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) reported the attendance numbers for this year.
There were 24,414 total visitors on Thursday and Friday, the event's business-only days. Attendance was down Thursday with 10,969 visitors, 11.54% less compared to last year. The number grew on Friday with 13,455 attendees, up 8.9% compared to last year. Overall the first two days saw a 1.36% decrease in attendance. Comparatively, 2012 had 12,402 attendees for Thursday and 12,348 for Friday. While there were 30.5% drop in overseas attendees (900), there were 3.7% more press (392).
Attendance grew on Saturday, the first day open to the general public. 41,632 attended on Saturday, a rise of 32% from 2012's attendance of 31,549. However, Sunday's attendance was 39,809, 6.6% less than last year's 42,624.
In all, TAF reported a four-day attendance of 105,855, 7.01% more than last year's 98,923. Both years were down from 2010's 132,492.
