Tokyo Anime Fair Day 2/3 Attendance Drops 11%, 38%

Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF) announced that the preliminary attendance numbers continued to fall for the event on Friday and Saturday.
There were 12,348 total visitors on Friday, 54 attendees less than the number posted for Thursday's visitors. (The event was only open to industry and press on Thursday and Friday.) Overall attendance was down 11.08% for the day compared to 2010. Comparatively, 2010 had 13,706 attendees for Thursday and 13,887 for Friday. While there were 41% more overseas attendees (605), there were 58% less press (113).
Attendance fell further on Saturday, the first day open to the general public. 31,549 attended on Saturday, a full 38.23% drop from 2010's attendance of 51,073. There was also 55% less press at 158.
