Supervisor Briefly Listed End of Gintama's TV Run in March

Gintama' supervisor Shinji Takamatsu posted on his Twitter account on Thursday that "Yorinuki Gintama-san" will end in March. "Yorinuki Gintama-san" was a series of re-run episodes of Gintama' with new episodes interspersed throughout the season. Takamatsu stated that he thought the staff would extend the series until the summer, but TV Tokyo advised him that it would not be possible as the timeslot would not be available after April. Aikatsu! is slated to take over the slot on April 4.

Takamatsu has since deleted the tweet.

Gintama's second film is scheduled to open in Japan this summer.
