Kawaii Kon to Host Voice Actor Toshio Furukawa

Kawaii Kon announced Thursday that Japanese voice actor Toshio Furukawa will be joining its guest line-up its 2013 convention. Furukawa has voiced over 150 anime roles in over 30 years, including Urusei Yatsura's Ataru Moroboshi, One Piece's Portgas D. Ace, Soul Eater's Asura, Detective Conan's Detective Yamamura, Mobile Suit Gundam's Kai Shinden, Dragon Ball Z's Piccolo, the titular hero in Crying Freeman, and Asuma Shinohra in the Patlabor series and films. In addition, he is also a narrator, actor, playwright, and guitarist.
Furukawa will be joining the previously announced line-up of Kawaii Kon guests that includes character designer Noizi Itō and voice actors Johnny Yong Bosch, Todd Haberkorn, Colleen Clinkenbeard, and Lisle Wilkerson. Furukawa previously attended in the SacAnime convention in California last month.
Kawaii Kon will be held at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu from March 15-17, 2013.
