posted on by Egan Loo
The official YouTube channel for the Kotoura-san anime series began streaming a new 30-second television ad and the second mini episode about the male character Yoshihisa Manabe (played by Jun Fukushima) on Friday.
In the ad, the anime's heroine Haruka Kotoura (Hisako Kanemoto) surprises Manabe by telling him that they are being animated. The ad features the series' opening theme, "Sonna Koto Ura no Mata Urabanashi Desho?" by Megumi Nakajima.
Each of the six weekly "Haruka no Heya" (Haruka's Room) mini episodes has Haruka introducing one of the series' characters. In the second episode, Haruka puts Manabe in the interviewee's chair.
Haruka is a girl who can read people's minds, and she joins the ESP Club after transferring to a new school. Manabe is her classmate who has feelings for her.
The main cast also includes Kana Hanazawa (Nisemonogatari, To Love-Ru) as Yuriko Mifune, Yurika Kubo (Love Live! School idol project, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse) as Hiyori Moritani, and Hiro Shimono (Ben-To, Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) as Daichi Muroto.
Masahiko Ohta (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is directing the anime at the studio AIC Classic. Takashi Aoshima (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takaharu Ōkuma (Mitsudomoe, Hanaukyo Maid-tai) is serving as the character designer and chief animation director. Enokids created the original four-panel online romantic comedy manga.
The anime will premiere in Japan on January 10.
