Black Hatsune Miku Walkman Put Back on Sale

Sony put its limited-edition Hatsune Miku Walkman S back on sale on Monday, but only the black variant. The electronics manufacturer had begun accepting reservations for the three Walkman variants on August 3 at 11:00 a.m., but had to stop accepting entries at 4:30 p.m. after the system was overwhelmed. Sony limited each of the three variants to 3,939 serial-numbered units (a wordplay on one Japanese pronunciation of "39" as "miku.").
The black variant will remain on sale, one per customer, until September 10 or until supplies run out. Sony emphasized that the two blue variants are no longer for sale.
