Gyrozetter Game Uses Unreal 3 Engine, Has Overseas Plans
posted on by Joseph First
Staff members involved in creating Rocket Studio's recently-released Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter arcade game have revealed that the game made use of the Unreal 3 Engine. Ryūtarō Ichimura, producer for Dragon Quest X, explained that the engine was used because the game required HD visuals, which the engine developed in-house at the studio could not support.
A version for the Nintendo 3DS has also been announced for next spring. The 3DS version will, however, be a role-playing game, and completely different from the arcade version.
Ichimura added that they may bring the franchise to home consoles as they are considering expanding the franchise overseas as a game with HD graphics.
