The official website for Namco Bandai Games' Summon Night 5 video game launched on Monday and announced that the anime studio ufotable (Fate/Zero, The Garden of Sinners) will animate the PSP game's opening sequence. Namco Bandai Games also began streaming a 52-second teaser video for the fantasy simulation role-playing game.
The website revealed that Emiko Bleu will perform the game's opening theme song produced by Sing Like Talking band member Chiaki Fujita. Japanese game developer Felistella is planning and developing the game as well as the PSP ports of Summon Nights 3 and 4. Development staff members from the previous entries in the series, including Takeshi Iitsuka and Kei Miyakozuki, are also returning for Summon Night 5.
The new game's story is once again set in the alternate world of Lyndbaum, except in a bustling town called Seivaaru that is similar to Japan. The official website features background art and images of the characters Forusu and Aruka.
ufotable previously produced opening and ending animation for Summon Night EX-Thesis: Yoake no Tsubasa as well as animation for Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2.
Namco Bandai Games will port the PlayStation 2 games Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4 to the PSP on October 4 and November 15, respectively. The official website for Summon Night 3 launched on Monday and began streaming a five-minute promotional video.
