Summon Night 5 Fantasy Simulation RPG Lands on PSP
posted on by Egan Loo
The September issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is revealing on Saturday that Namco Bandai Games will release Summon Night 5, the newest entry in the Summon Night fantasy simulation role-playing game series, on the PSP system in Japan. The tagline for the game reads, "The door to the alternate world opens again…"
The story is once again set in the alternate world of Lyndbaum, except in a bustling town called Seivaaru that is similar to Japan. V Jump shows the characters Forusu and Aruka. The new game assembles the development staff members from the previous entries in the series, including Takeshi Iitsuka and Kei Miyakozuki.
In addition, Namco Bandai Games will port the PlayStation 2 games Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4 to the PSP on October 4 and November 15, respectively. The first copies of the Summon Night 3 and Summon Night 4 ports will include exclusive product codes for bonus character models (tutor and innkeeper) for the protagonist of Summon Night 5.
Summon Night 1 and Summon Night 2 will also be available for download to the PSP via the Archives feature on the PlayStation Network. Both will be available at 300 yen (about US$4) on July 21 and August 29, respectively, although they will rise to 600 yen (about US$8) a month after release.
