Sentai Filmworks Licenses So, I Can't Play H! Anime

North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Sunday that it acquired the So, I Can't Play H! (Dakara Boku-ha, H ga Dekinai.) television anime series. The anime will be available soon through select digital outlets with a home video release to follow next year. Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
The anime adapts Pan Tachibana's erotic comedy light novels of the same name. A young man named Ryōsuke (played by Hiro Shimono) struggles to regain his "erotic spirit," which he lost by making a contract with a beautiful Goddess of Death named Risara (Aya Endō). Ryōsuke cannot enjoy himself while the two live together; because of his contract, he can no longer become excited by watching girls — causing him to wonder if his adolescent days are over.
Takeo Takahashi (Yosuga no Sora) is directing the series at the anime studio feel. while fellow Spice and Wolf/Yosuga no Sora alumni Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of the scripts. Character designer Kanetoshi Kamimoto (Yosuga no Sora, Burst Angel) is adapting Yoshiaki Katsurai's original novel illustrations, and Cher Watanabe (Prince of Tennis II) is scoring the music
The anime will premiere on July 6.
