Stu Levy: Hetalia Volumes 4, 5 to Get N. American Release
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Tokyopop founder Stu Levy revealed at the Tokyopop panel at Anime Expo on Saturday that the Japanese publisher Gentosha Comics told him that volumes 4 and 5 of Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia - Axis Powers manga will be released in English in North America. Levy said that Gentosha did not provide details on how or when the volumes would be released.
Right Stuf, Gentosha Comics, and Tokyopop announced a collaboration last month to release the first three volumes of the manga series. The three companies published the third volume in the series in English for the first time earlier this month, and offered re-releases by print on demand for the first two volumes.
Tokyopop had planned on publishing the third volume of Hetalia in May 2011, but it shut down its North American publishing operations that same month.
Tokyopop also revealed that it is partnering with Right Stuf to publish the third volume of Jason Henderson, Tony Salvaggio, and Shane Granger's Psy-Comm English graphic novel series. The two companies previously revealed that they are publishing the eighth volume of M. Alice LeGrow's Bizenghast graphic novel series in July.
