Suki-tte Ii na yo. Anime's Cast, Staff Revealed

The August issue of Kodansha's Dessert magazine and Starchild have revealed the cast and staff for television anime adaptation of Kanae Hazuki's Suki-tte Ii na yo. (Say, "I Love You".) shōjo manga.
The cast is as follows:
- Ai Kayano as Mei Tachibana
- Takahiro Sakurai as Yamato Kurosawa
- Risa Taneda as Asami Oikawa
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kenji Nakanishi
- Yumi Uchiyama as aiko Mutō
- Minako Kotobuki as Megumi Kitagawa
- Tomoaki Maeno as Kai Takemura
Takuya Satō (Steins;Gate, Strawberry Marshmallow) is directing the series and is also handling the series composition. Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (episode director for Kimi ni Todoke, Minami-ke) is serving as series director, and Yoshiko Okuda (animation director for Casshern Sins) is handling the character designs. Junko Watanabe (NANA, Blood-C) is serving as chief animation director and Yuuji Nomi (Whisper of the Heart, Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honnêamise) is handling the music. ZEXCS is animating the series, which will air this fall.
The story of first love centers around Mei Tachibana, a girl who has never made friends or had a boyfriend in 16 years. One day, she accidentally injures Yamato Kurosawa, the school's most popular boy. For some reason, Yamato becomes interested in Mei and starts a one-sided friendship with her. He even protects her from a stalker — by kissing her.
Hazuki launched the manga in 2008, and Kodansha will publish the ninth compiled book volume in July.
