The official member site for CAPCOM's Ixion Saga online fantasy action PC game confirmed on Tuesday that production on a television anime adaptation called Ixion Saga DT (Dimension Transfer) has been green-lit. Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama) is directing the anime at Brains Base.
The game and anime follow a boy who embarks on a journey from our world to an alternate world known as Mira.
The anime was first announced during the game's official niconico Live broadcast on Monday. An Ixion Saga DT announcement event will reveal more details about the anime on July 5 at 1:00 p.m. in Japan. Takamatsu and the "A-list male voice cast" will appear in the event, and niconico Live will stream it.
