Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will simulcast the shōnen anime Beelzebub two hours after the series begins airing in Japan. The show is currently scheduled to premiere on Yomiuri TV Sunday, on January 9 at 7:00 a.m. in Japan (Saturday, January 8 at 5:00 p.m. EST).
The anime adaptation of Ryūhei Tamura's manga of the same name was revealed this past August. The story revolves around a high school delinquent named Tatsumi Oga who finds himself caring for the infant son of the king of demons, Beelzebub, after the infant grows attached to Oga. The series' cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi as Oga, Miyuki Sawashiro, Shizuka Itou, Aki Toyosaki, Tomokazu Seki, and Takahiro Mizushima. A representative of Yomiuri TV's parent company, Yomiuri Telecasting, calls the show "YTV's biggest production of 2011."
Crunchyroll's simulcast will be available to users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, and Portugal.
