Japan's Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, November 22-28

The limited first edition Blu-ray Disc of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st sold 58,000 copies to rank #1 on Oricon's overall Blu-ray Disc chart for the November 22-2 week. The DVD version ranked #2 on its respective chart with 22,758 copies. The film had taken in 380 million yen (about US$4.4 million) at the box office this year. The second film, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A's, will open in Japan in 2012.
The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reports that the Blu-ray Complete Box of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was #2 with 31,000 copies.
