Gonzo's 2nd Linebarrels of Iron Promo Video Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime based on "real battle action robot" manga to start in Japan on October 3

The official website for Gonzo's anime adaptation of Linebarrels of Iron has posted its second Japanese promotional video in standard, high, or ultra-high resolution on Saturday. (The video requires the Microsoft Windows Vista or XP operating system with a recent version of Windows Media Player or Adobe Flash Player.) The same website already posted an earlier Japanese video and an English video.

Director Masamitsu Hidaka (Pokémon, Juu Senshi Garukiba) is adapting Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi's "real battle action robot" manga. The story follows a boy who is injured by a satellite accident and reawakens half a year later with strange powers. He eventually joins a medical conglomerate to pilot its Linebarrel robot. In July, Hidaka brought the first episode of the series to Anime Expo in Los Angeles for its world premiere. The series will begin airing in Japan itself on October 3 at 26:25 (effectively, 2:25 a.m. the next morning).
