Meng-Lin Yu's 32-page Fairy Tale announced as winner among 31 finalists
The official Japanese website for Kodansha's Morning 2 magazine has posted a preview of its May 22 issue, and thus indirectly announced that Fairy Tale from Taiwan's Meng-Lin Yu has won the 2nd Morning International Manga Competition. As promised in the competition rules, Morning 2 magazine will publish the 32 pages (with color inserts) of the grand-prize-winning entry. The website also lists the 31 finalists that were announced in February.
America's Bikkuri and Rem won the first competition last year with their Kage no Matsuri work. Like Fairy Tale, Kage no Matsuri was also published in Morning 2 magazine, and it even adorned the cover.
