Warner Begins Pitching Oshii's Sky Crawlers Overseas

Trailer for August 2008 film screened at ShoWest film industry exhibition

At the 2008 ShoWest film industry exhibition taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, Warner Brothers has presented a trailer for The Sky Crawlers, the latest movie from Ghost in the Shell director Mamoru Oshii. No international screening or DVD deals for the wartime romance film, which is set to open in Japan on August 2, have been announced yet. However, the purpose of ShoWest is to highlight major movies that are currently in production or set to be released in the near future to licensors and distributors around the world. Two teasers have been presented online in Japan.
