The Special edition of .hack//SIGN - Login will be released on March 4th, not March 18th as stated in our ealier news item. The regular DVD will be released on March 18th

Bandai Entertainment has announced the March 4, 2003 nationwide release for the .hack//SIGN - Login limited edition with collectors' DVD box set. The platinum series DVD will street March 18th.
Is it a game? Or is it a world? .hack//SIGN the anime series presents "The World," an engulfing, futuristic gaming environment where players log-on to test skills in virtual adventures and battles - whenever both realities collide, a whole new adventure unfolds. The story parallels current massive multi-player online role-playing games (MMORPG) that have generated worldwide attention with the popularity of "Everquest" and other games, and follows Tsukasa as he searches for a way out of "The World" after becoming stuck while logged-in.
A runaway hit in Japan .hack//SIGN features character designs by famed illustrator Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Wings of Honneamise), a script by Kazunori Itō (Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor), and is directed by Kōichi Mashimo (Noir).
Hailed by "Animerica" as "the ultimate synthesis of anime, manga, and video games," .hack//SIGN will make its North American television debut on the Cartoon Network in February 2003 and the video game, .hack//INFECTION (part 1) for the PlayStation®2 will be released on February 11th.
"We're very excited about the .hack franchise and with the release of the .hack//SIGN Limited Edition DVD, Bandai Entertainment continues to raise the bar for anime on DVD," said Jerry Chu, Marketing Manager, Bandai Entertainment.
The .hack//SIGN - Login limited edition collectors' DVD box will be available in only 15,000 units. An exclusive "Grunty" plush doll, t-shirt, original CD soundtrack, postcard set, stickers, .hack//INFECTION (part 1) for the PlayStation®2 demo game will be included with the purchase of the DVD box.
