This Gintoki Fork Puts the Ita in Itadakimasu

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

This year's Jump Festa event will celebrate everything Weekly Shōnen Jump and that includes all the sides of Gintama's hero, Gintoki. Even his backside.

The event will host an array of merchandise booths and plenty will carry Gintama' goods. Most of the items capitalize on Gintoki's good looks or keen sword abilities but the Jump Festa original merchandise area will make him relive one of his most painful memories. "Gintoki's 3000 Leagues in Search of a Scabbard Very Stabby Fork" recreates the scene from episode 334 when a sentient sword with transformation capabilities decides to make Gintoki's rectum its new scabbard.

The fork will be sold at the event for 1,500 yen (US$13). If you can stomach looking at it while picking the feta cheese out of your Tuesday salad, go right ahead. There's plenty of less painful merchandise to browse at next month's Jump Festa for the rest of us. Just watch out for the life-size Babā figure lurking in the halls.

This year's Jump Festa will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from December 22-23. Cast and staff from fan-favorite titles will head to the event's main stage, hopefully with new announcements and revelations. The stage line-up includes staff from The New Prince of Tennis, My Hero Academia, The Promised Neverland, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, We Never Learn, Dr. Stone, Haikyu!!, Kono Oto Tomare!, Dragon Ball Super, Black Clover, Gintama', Boruto, and One Piece.
