Famitsū Publishes Results of Musou/Warriors Poll
posted on by Eric Stimson
Last month, the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsū conducted a poll of its readers to see which anime or game franchise most deserved a Musou or Warriors crossover game (like Hyrule Warriors or Arslan: The Warriors of Legend). The results will be published in the December 3 issue, which hits newsstands on November 19.
The winner of the game category reportedly achieved a landslide victory, with about double the votes of the second-place winner. The results are:
- Tōken Ranbu
- Type-Moon
- Fire Emblem
- Neo Romance
- Final Fantasy
- Tales of
- Kantai Collection
- Atelier
- Megami Tensei
- Persona
The anime category only received a third as many votes as the games. The results are:
- Pretty Cure
- Fairy Tail
- Tokyo Ghoul
- Kingdom
- Gintama
Famitsū will also publish comments from the developers behind these video game series. The makers of Neo Romance, Megami Tensei and Persona were interested in a collaboration. The makers of Tōken Ranbu were also interested, but are busy making the PC and smartphone versions. Takashi Takeuchi of Type-Moon said he would like to see Saber "wiping out Wakame's [Shinji's] huge army swallowing up the screen." Yoshinori Kitase (the director of Final Fantasy VII) thought a quest based on the Forgotten Capital would be awesome. A developer for the Atelier series thought cooking and collecting elements would have to be added to make it more like an RPG. The spokesperson for Tales of was not interested.
