Momoiro Clover Z Get Dragon Ball Z Character Designs for Latest Single

The Momoiro Clover Z girls got a makeover in Akira Toriyama's signature art style for the cover of their single "'Z' no Chikai" (Oath of Z), the theme song for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' film.
The CD will be released in two versions on April 29. The first edition version includes a Blu-ray with the song's music video and the additional music track "Romantic Kongaragatteru" (Tangled Up in Romantic). The CD also includes karaoke versions of both songs. The jacket shows the girls in Frieza costumes, while the reverse side is a similar image but through a scouter. The standard single features the anime-style cover.
The Frieza cover was previously teased on April Fool's Day, although the girls were depicted head-to-toe as the villain.
A producer at Toei Animation said all the members of Momoiro Clover Z are big Dragon Ball fans. All five members also have speaking roles in the film.
Momoiro Clover Z previously performed the Sailor Moon Crystal theme songs. The girls dressed up as Sailor Guardians for the cover of that CD.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ opens in Japan next week and Funimation will host the world premiere in Los Angeles on April 11.
