PSP fighting card battle game from Budokai Tenkaichi's Chunsoft, Namco Bandai

Bandai Namco Games began streaming the opening sequence from Heroes' Vs, the new game that combines fighting action with card battles, on Tuesday. Icons from three major franchises — Gundam, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman — join forces in the latest in Banpresto's Compatible Hero crossover franchise. Yoshifumi Ushima and Shinichi Ishihara performs the opening theme song "Dead or TwinAlive."

The game will allow players to go down different story modes as the popular villains and heroes fight for their dreams. There will be 18 main playable characters, as well as fully-voiced battle sequences, and combo attacks. Chunsoft, who also did the development for the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi (Dragon Ball Z Sparking!) series of video games, is developing Heroes' Vs.

Bandai Namco Games had revealed earlier this month that the game will have three guest characters: Kamen Rider Fourze, Ultraman Saga, and Strike Freedom Gundam. Voice actor Sōta Fukushi will play Kamen Rider Fourze, Mamoru Miyano will play Ultraman Saga, and Sōichirō Hoshi will play Strike Freedom Gundam. The game already has the following characters:

Title Justice Heroes Vice Heroes
Ultraman Mebius Ultraman Mebius Alien Empera

Namco Bandai also streamed a promotional video last month:

The video game will ship for the Sony PSP in Japan on February 7.
