Japanese game developer Atlus posted the second trailer for the Shin Megami Tensei IV video game for the Nintendo 3DS on its official YouTube channel on Tuesday. The video shows gameplay from the first numbered Shin Megami Tensei game to be released since 2003.
The video also gives some visuals and voice samples of the new characters, with Hiroshi Kamiya (Nisemonogatari's Araragi, Polar Bear's Café's Penguin) as Jonathan, Kazuya Nakai (Persona 3's Shinjirō, One Piece's Zoro) as Hobb, Miyuki Sawashiro (Persona 3's Elizabeth and Chidori, Galaxy Angel's Mint Blamanche) as Izabo, and Katsuyuki Konishi (Tales of Symphonia's Lloyd, Alice in the Country of Hearts' Blood) as Walter. Other voices include Atsuko Tanaka, Yūko Kaida, Marina Inoue, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Junpei Morita, Hazumi Goda, Houchu Ohtsuka, and Jouji Nakata.
Atlus first revealed the fourth game in the Shin Megami Tensei series in Famitsu magazine this past May. Although titled similarly to the Persona series as published in America, the Shin Megami Tensei series is not related. Famitsu will devote a large feature to the game on Thursday, and the Sega booth at Tokyo Game Show 2012 will show an uncut version of the trailer this weekend.
