Rock Band Granrodeo Performs Code:Breaker's Opening Song

The official website for the Japanese rock band GRANRODEO announced on Wednesday that it will perform the opening theme song "Dark Shame" for the Code:Breaker anime. The band will be releasing the single for the song on November 7. The limited-edition first pressing of the single will retail for 1,800 yen (about US$22) and the normal edition will retail for 1,200 yen (US$15).
GRANRODEO, which includes lead singer and voice actor Kishō Taniyama and musician Masaaki Iizuka, most recently performed theme songs for Kuroko no Basuke and Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The band has also performed theme songs for Kotetsushin Jeeg, Blassreiter, Needless, togainu no chi - Bloody Curs, and Kurokami The Animation.
The anime adaptation of the Code:Breaker manga by Akimine Kamijyō (Samurai Deeper Kyo) is slated to premiere in Japan in October. Kenichi Suzumura, the voice actor for the anime's Toki/Code:04 character, is contributing the ending theme song "Shiroi Karasu" (White Crow).
Yasuhiro Irie (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Kurau: Phantom Memory) is directing the series at the studio Kinema Citrus. Yukie Akiya will serve as the character designer and chief animation director, and Masayuki Sakoi will serve as the assistant director.
