Singer Daigo to Play Version of Himself in Vanguard Anime

Bushiroad revealed at an event on Thursday that the musician DAIGO for the band BREAKERZ will play an anime version of himself in the Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit Hen television anime series. DAIGO will play a legendary fighter who will face off against Leon Sōryū in episode 18, which will premiere on August 5. DAIGO previously starred in a live-action television adaptation of Cardfight!! Vanguard in May.
DAIGO is the lead vocalist of Japanese rock band BREAKERZ. He previously voiced Kousuke Mizutani in Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser. BREAKERZ has performed both opening and closing themes for the Case Closed television anime series.
The event also revealed that Natsuko Aso (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Modern Magic Made Simple) is returning to perform the second ending theme for the series, "Fighting Growing Diary." Aso previously performed the first ending theme song for the original Cardfight!! Vanguard series.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit Hen in various countries outside of Japan as it airs.
