Kumi Koda to Perform Total Eclipse Opening Theme Song

The official website for J-pop singer Kumi Koda announced on Friday that Koda will sing the opening theme song "Go to the top" for the Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse television anime series.
Koda is writing the song's lyrics and CLARABELL (RzC) is composing and arranging the song. A release date for the song's single has not yet been decided. Koda's latest album Beach Mix (pictured at right) will go on sale on August 1.
Koda previously sang theme songs for the Final Fantasy X-2 role-playing game, Crayon Shin-chan: Densetsu o Yobu Odore! Amigo!, the live-action Cutie Honey film, Gilgamesh, The Law of Ueki, and Re: Cutie Honey.
This will be Koda's first anime collaboration since she announced her pregnancy and her marriage to Kenji03 last December.
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse will premiere in Japan on July 1, and it will also premiere at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on the same day. Crunchyroll will stream the anime into several countries as it airs in Japan.
