Japanese K-ON! Fans Present Film Graphic to London Café (Updated)
posted on by Andrew Osmond
Japanese K-ON! fans have presented a London café with a promotional image for the K-ON! film featuring the café itself. The Troubadour Café immediately placed the promotional image in its front window, said the café's owner Susie Thornhill. ANN visited the café on February 15, and at that time the image, which shows the franchise's five main characters sitting at an outside table, was still displayed.
Thornhill told ANN that a party of Japanese people came to the café one morning, took pictures of the setting, and then left the K-ON! graphic. Thornhill said she was unaware of what the image was promoting. She also said she was very pleased to receive the picture.
Japan Airlines is currently offering five-day K-ON! tours with stops in Finland and London from December 3, 2011 to March 31, 2012. (December 3 is also when the K-ON! film opened in Japan.) Tsumugi, a member of the high school band Ho-kago no Tea-Time in the K-ON! anime, visited Finland, while the entire band is visiting London as a graduation trip in the movie.
