Haganai Game Bundles Tekken, Idolm@ster Spoof Covers
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Namco Bandai Games' limited-edition version of the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable (Haganai Portable) game will include spoof PlayStation Portable slip covers for the Tekken, Idolm@ster, Tales of, and God Eater games. The spoof titles for the fake "Playing States Portable" console are Taynle of Friend, THE iDOLLM@STER SP, Tetsuken Tag Tournament 2, and Kami Eater, and each of the covers feature characters from the Haganai Portable game.
Haganai Portable adapts Yomi Hirasaka's Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai romantic comedy light novels, and a television anime adaptation of the story aired last year. In the story, Kodaka Hasegawa is a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair scares people, while Yozora Mikazuki is a seemingly perpetually sullen girl. The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for people with hardly any friends.
The game follows an original scenario and uses a "Live 2D" animation feature for the onscreen characters. The limited edition version of the game, which will also include the Kirameki School Life SP: the wonder years dating simulation game, a DVD, and a special art box, will be available for the retail price of 10,980 yen (about US$140). The retail price of the regular version is 6,800 yen (about US$90).
Namco Bandai Games will release the game on February 23, after delaying it a month to improve the game and raise user satisfaction.
