Iori Nomizu, Misuzu Togashi Lead Upotte!! Anime Cast

Iori Nomizu and Misuzu Togashi will star in the anime adaptation of Kitsune Tennōji's Upotte!! manga. In the story, a newly hired teacher discovers that the female students at his school all have excellent marksmanship skills — and happen to be anthropomorphized assault rifles. The students' names reference the Japanese pronunciations for various guns:

Iori Nomizu as Funko (FNC)
Misuzu Togashi as Ichiroku (M16A4)
Kaori Sadohara as Shigu (SG550)
Misato as Eru (L85A1)
Saeko Zōgō as Ichiyon (M14)
Mina as Faru (FAL L1A1)
Mami Kosuge as Jiisuri (G3A3)

Takao Kato is directing the anime at the studio Xebec, and Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of the scripts. Akio Takami redesigned the characters for the anime, which Nico Nico Douga's live service will stream in Japan in April.
