Real-Life Mario Kart Arrives in Los Angeles

Nintendo of America partnered with the West Coast Customs car remodeling company to unveil two life-sized Mario karts at the LA Auto Show on Thursday. With designs based on the upcoming Mario Kart 7 3DS game, the unveiling of Mario's personal kart and Luigi's bumblebee kart marked Nintendo's first appearance at the show.
Mario Kart 7 will be the first 3D title in the Mario Kart series when it debuts on the Nintendo 3DS on December 1 in Japan, on December 4 in North America, on December 2 in Europe, and on December 3 in Australia. The North American video game news site IGN began streaming a gameplay trailer Mario Kart 7 in September, and Nintendo posted four television commercials for the racing game with the Japanese boy band Arashi on Thursday.
