This is an awful format to list the awards, its like someone rushed writing this during lunch. How it should be written is last the category, the nominees, then the winner in bullet format or the like. As someone who had to miss the awards, I would like to be reminded who the winners were up against. I had to go to a different site to see the nominees and winners. The commentary was good but this would look better if the information organized in a way that direct and pleasing to the eye.

What is the most hilarious is that even if Megalobox and Aggretsuko were nominated the most, they won nothing lol.

MHA deserved all those awards imo. At that point if they don't want MHA to win, the judges will find a way to gatekeep MHA out of a lot of the nominations. Which I feel will happen in so ways, even if it's unfair.

While it did win the most, it only won four awards.

They really need to rethink the format...again, this can't keep happening or these awards will eventually die with one series always dominating nominees and award wins. At least Mai won best girl and violet evergarden won best animation.

^Yes, last year I excitedly voted but this year it seems the revised voting process produced less variety and not more and I didn't even bother. It seemed the same few shows were in every category so MHA or one of the other shows winning nearly everything seemed like almost a foregone conclusion.

Well I would have preferred Megalo Box to win something but hey its an honor to be nominated as they say. :/

At this point popular long-running series like MHA should be limited to just a "Best Ongoing Show" award because its really just unfair to the other shows.

Tbh, I watched the Twitch stream waiting for sneak peaks for upcoming Crunchyroll shows and was disappointed that they only announced one (The Island of Big Insects). Not to mention, was anyone surprised that MHA will sweep the anime awards? I assume that the winners would be determined by votes since the nominees were determined by the judges.

While I don’t personally agree with a number of the winners, they’re weren’t any that I felt were unreasonable, given the choices, though perhaps for a category like best boy, they could have forgone Deku, given he was a previous winner and the series had won the category last year too. While I think they have done better at limiting the extent of one series dominating the awards, and that MHA has been shown to be capable of losing to more deserving competitors (as with the animation category this year), I anticipate them getting some flack over this, if they haven’t already.

Nice to see Rimuru win best protagonist.

Mamoru Miyano won Best Voice Actor (Japanese) for his work on Zombie Land Saga.

Ricco Fajardo's performance should've also been nominated, but whatever. Chris Sabat still would've won Best English Performance either way, but Ricco Fajardo's performance as Kotaro Tatsumi deserves just as much recognition as Mamoru Miyano's.

This was once again a popularity contest with a few categories artificially manipulated to try to make it look like it's not.

Hinamatsuri and Aggretsuko winning nothing is ridiculous.

If MHA was a nominee for Anime of the Year, it probably would have won and that's the sad part. Aside from that, what I'm most angry about is the fact that All Might vs All for One won best fight. The clear winner is Naruto/Sasuke/Boruto vs Momoshiki for giving us an entire episode of just god-tier fight animation and an impressive showcase of martial arts. All Might vs All for One mostly came down to just who can deliver the stronger punch. Mad

MHA winning over Boruto is a travesty. One For All and All Might’s match was intense, but it veered into melodrama and wasn’t entirely a fight. The episode which contained the Naruto and Sasuke and Momoshiki fight was full of amazing choreography and really nice callbacks to some of the original series. The format and eligibility rules really do need to be modified.

MHA is a great series but it can’t keep unfairly sweeping. It’s just not fair. And it’s not a good look for the award ceremony either.

Well it was actually a bit more than just who can deliver the strongest punch but yeah fight-choegraphy wise Naruto/Sasuke vs Momoshiki is far superior.

Yeah Boruto had a visually beautiful fight, it really should have won in that category.

Sora Yori got a lot of things going for it, even one of a kind great heroine in there in fact, but of course, each award ceremony just boiled down to popularity contest in the end. At least I can bask in the happiness of knowing that Sora Yori outsells most of the shows that won these awards.

5, but it did manage to win every award it was nominated for. Which still shouldn’t be right. In my opinion, if it’s most popular it should get 2 or 3 noms max. And save the rest of the awards for the underdog shows.

Aside from that, whoever decided to put Deku for best boy, can we stop? He’s been nominated 3 times & was a previous winner already.
