I posted this earlier in the Duplicate Persons thread, but I'm making its own thing for it, just in case.

Here we have two staff members sharing overlap:
Ken Baba person#17996
Takeshi Baba person#8246

However, this isn't a simple case of merger, as across these two pages are credits for three different individuals, separately identified per AniDB as follows:

Ken Baba, who is an alias of Yuzo Yamada person#59755

Takeshi Baba (animator)

The credits from person#8246 should be reorganized as follows:

-under Takeshi Baba (animator)
Key Animation for "Animaniacs"
Key Animation for "Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker" (Animated Movie)

Any chance a source can be found on this one? I was looking at the non-anime credits first as I can't redistribute them like with normal cast and staff, and so I'd have to add it again under the new entry. The current source link is defunct, though, and doesn't indicate which episode(s) he would be credited in either.

Here's an IMDb link that has the "Takeshi Baba" romanization but the association to Yuzo Yamada: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0817393/fullcredits/animation_department
A further look at his account (which appears to lump all the Baba credits provided together) shows he held the position on all 65 episodes.

I found a working video with his ending credit, which confirms he was credited as "Takeshi Baba". I really need to see here whether the director should actually be "Takeshi" and not "Ken". JP Wikipedia, at least, doesn't specify the name reading of the pseudonym.

From what I've seen, AniDB only uses romanizations for cast and crew members' names if they're absolutely sure that's the official romanization, otherwise they keep it in Japanese. Though without a source provided, that would make confirmation extremely tricky...

Given he was credited in MASK as "Takeshi", it's a pseudonym, and there's not much more to go officially (I wonder if his name has been adapted in romanized form anywhere else: the titles seem rather obscure and on Voltron I don't even know if the Japanese staff was translated), I think I'll settle on it as Takeshi absent any more information. It can be reversed if there's some good sources to the contrary.

Takeshi Baba (animator)
Takeshi Baba (director)
Takeshi Baba (producer)

I would merge the director to Yamada, but there are a few credits that make me question things a little, that seem to lead me down a rabbit hole that something's off here.

Babel II - Beyond Infinity (TV 2/2001) : Director of Photography
Cosmowarrior Zero (TV) : Director of Photography
Initial D: Second Stage (TV) : Color Check (eps 2, 6, 10) , Color setting (eps 2, 6, 10) , Paint (Film Magic; eps 2, 6, 10)
Sonic Soldier Borgman: Lover's Rain (movie) : Cooperation

These are completely different tasks than what the director has done. Yuzo Yamada is claimed to have worked for Tsuchida Production and then later moved to Studio Comet. This person seems to be associated with other companies, though. Wikipedia claims on Hiroaki Sakurai's page (on the English, though some parts seemingly translated from info from the JP page plus a cited interview on the JP page) that there is a Ken Baba who founded Film Magic, and it got driven into bankruptcy during Akazukin Chacha. Film Magic is definitely tied to Borgman, and the Baba here apparently worked for them on Initial D Second Stage (several years after the supposed bankruptcy with Chacha) as a colorist despite supposedly being the president of the company.

The credits on Babel II and Cosmowarrior Zero are hard to fit into the Film Magic connection since it's yet a different task (photography) and it seems like Vega Entertainment did animation production on those series. Confusingly, Vega Entertainment however works on the exact same episodes of Initial D Second Stage that Film Magic did. I'm not sure if that's indicative of a connection or not (Extra note: Vega is also involved with quite a few games that MobyGames credits Baba/Yamada to). Apparently, the Baba with Film Magic DID do photography for them on episode 163 of Kochikame in 2000.

I also see this MobyGames profile which makes the same claim about Ken Baba as the founder and president of Film Magic as Wikipedia above. This one makes the claim that Yamada is not his real name, but a pseudonym, and that Kenichi Baba is his real name (this would seem to indicate that "Ken" could be a correct reading, but possibly still only a guess based on his supposed real name). The Film Magic stuff does seem to come in the timeline between the 80s work and then the mid 2000s work for Studio Comet, so I could see them all being the same person (and Yuzo Yamada happens to be episode director on the exact same episodes Film Magic worked in Initial D: Second Stage) I wish I knew where the MobyGames/Sakurai wiki info came from since it throws some of the assumptions we're making from the Yamada wiki page into question.

And the last thing I need to confirm (but way more minor) is any info on the person who worked on the Re: Hamatora theme song. I need to know what their name in kanji is, if the booklet used as the source even had it.

Complications like that are part of why I love tracking anime staff so much.

I'm content with the splits as they are, as well as making the Ken Baba credit another Takeshi Baba. Regarding the recordist Baba, I'm guessing it's this guy, even though VGMDB doesn't credit him with any of the Re:_Hamatora releases. I'd look up screenshots of the booklet to verify, but they're all in low quality.
